I’ve been feeling really inspired lately and uploaded a ton of new phone and laptop cases to my Casetify collection. Some examples below, but there are a lot more in the shop!
I also had a few of these rose enamel pins left over from the holidays and finally listed them in my Etsy shop! Wouldn’t they make a cute Valentine’s Day gift? These roses will never die. 😉
To purchase a rose pin (there are only a few left and they won’t be restocked, hurry!) visit my Etsy shop, here.
The Galleria Park Hotel describes itself as having “classic design with a contemporary twist.” To represent that sentiment, I created a series of minimalist, gold bracelets with handcrafted clay beads.
These bracelets are currently for sale in the shop section.

Happy new year!
Here’s what been happening in my world lately:
- Artist in Residence pieces for Joie de Vivre Hotels! I created a retro-inspired print for Hotel Del Sol, and painted some cherry blossoms for Hotel Kabuki. See the full posts and interviews with me on Joyride.
2.) An illustration I created for Jen Pinkston was featured on her blog, The Effortless Chic. You can see the full post right here.
3.) I’m working a LOT of new pieces for the shop including more temp tattoos (pizza and sushi!), maps, and other goodies. I posted a couple peeks on Instagram, but in case you missed them:
That should bring you up to speed! I’ll leave you with this quick fashion illustration I did last week.
Happy Monday and happy 2016!
It’s December everyone. We made it to the end of the year. Let us all collectively sigh in relief.
I cant lie, it’s been a weird year with a lot of changes. Will I someday look back on 2015 fondly and feel grateful for the challenges it brought? I don’t know. Frankly, a lot of it is going to bleed over into 2016 so check back in 12 months and I’ll let you know where we stand. For now, let’s look at some pretty things I made!
We were lucky enough to find a really wonderful dog trainer at our local PetSmart. She went so far above and beyond what we expected, we got her a little holiday gift to say thanks. I made a custom card to go with it, with this illustration on the front (dog humor, am I right?):
I created this December welcome for my job at Hole Punch Design:
I released my final desktop calendar of 2015 for Garlic, My Soul! You can get it for free, right here.
I had a pretty successful Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale in my shop. I listed a TON of new hair accessories, these are just a few:
Speaking of hair accessories, the uber-talented Mary Costa (of Mary Costa Photography) was kind enough to shoot some of my products last weekend! The photos aren’t quite ready yet, but here’s a little peek at what’s to come! (I made the crown):
Mary also set up her classic Thanksgiving photobooth at our Friendsgiving on Thursday night, and we snapped a few silly pics:
Less words, more pics. Feast your eyes on this week’s bounty:
New color-blocked hair pins in the shop!
A colorful mystery project:
My little munchkin, Ruby, was on Joyride!
A commission for my Dad!
Best for last: I got an awesome new job as a junior designer! Very exciting week. 🙂
We’re pumpkin carving tomorrow in a park with all our buds. It’s one of my favorite seasonal L.A. traditions. What are you up to? Whatever it is, I hope it’s equally spooky!
It was my birthday this week! The other M took me beach bike riding and we’re going roller skating this weekend. I’m spoiled.
I added a customizable Halloween invitation to the shop and drew a cat in a sombrero for fun. Cats can celebrate Halloween too.
I was commissioned to do a larger version of one of my abstract paintings in blues and greens. Ruby was really into it.
Love that face! Have a great weekend!
This month’s piece is actually four pieces: abstract paintings!
The Epiphany Hotel, located in Palo Alto, is modern and compelling. Its spaces are filled with clean lines and clever nods to the city and theme. Every room’s design combines beauty and functionality to inspire creativity in whoever comes in. I wanted to reproduce all of that in a series of minimal abstract paintings. I tried to keep them approachable while maintaining the curious quality of abstract art. I think if The Epiphany could hold a paintbrush, it would paint something like this.
Prints of these paintings are available in my shop, right here! And don’t forget to check out the full post and interview with me on Joyride.
I missed the last few Friday posts because I was traveling, but I’m back with a vengeance. This week was one for the history books.
First, it was Ruby’s birthday on Thursday! Obviously I made her a doggy birthday cake. Obviously she devoured it. It actually didn’t taste terrible, despite looking like wet cat food (yes I tried it, it’s 100% dog safe human food don’t worry). Recipe here!
Second, I sold out of my neon sea glass pendant necklaces while I was away. I was finally able to re-stock! Shop all the new pieces right here, before they run out again!
Third, and this is a big one, I left my day job to pursue full-time design work! It’s simultaneously exciting and terrifying so far, but I think I’m off to a good start. If you’ve got any creative work to throw my way, message me in the contact section. Or share my Etsy shop on your fav social media account. Or just come over and give me a reassuring pat on the back. All would be appreciated.
Have a wonderful weekend!
My mom’s in town this week! And my dad is coming next week! Our days have been full of movie watching, bonfire burning, s’mores eating, hiking, and dog walking and there’s no end in sight. Good thing I like my parents.
Despite being busy entertaining our special guests, I set aside some time to work on a really exciting new endeavor. Here’s a peek at my very glamorous photo shoot, Beagle assistant and all:
I’m hoping to get the new items listed in my shop by next week! It’s a lofty goal as there are about 21 items to list, so hold me to it.
Happy weekending everyone!
My most popular Etsy item by a landslide, the custom watercolor and gold maps, are now on sale at Brickyard Buffalo! The sale lasts Monday through Thursday this week (July 13 -16), but there are a LIMITED NUMBER of sale paintings available. If we run out sooner, the sale ends sooner.
I’m currently working on adding more maps to my shop, check back soon to see if your home state/city/country is represented! If you don’t see the one you want, send me a quick message and I’ll whip it up for you.
